The company was founded by the hard work of two teenage sisters in the Ozark mountains who graduated from College of the Ozarks and are passionate about helping people be healthy. Each lotion we handcraft is made of Distilled Water, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Emulsifying Wax, Stearic Acid, Vegetable Glycerin, Optiphen, Essential Oils and Vitamin E to provide long lasting hydration of your skin, all without a greasy feeling.
We have formulated this lotion using the best ingredients while still keeping it affordable.
Here is an explanation of the ingredients that you may not be familiar with.
Emulsifying Wax: binds the oil and water together, stabilizing and preventing separation. It is derived from Corn and Palm.
Stearic Acid: It is emollient, lubricating and another emulsifier. It is found naturally in animal fats, cocoa butter and shea butter. Ours is from vegetable sources. It thickens and stabilizes the lotion.
Glycerin: It is a sugar alcohol used in foods, medicines and skin care. It absorbs water, helping you skin to stay hydrated.
Optiphen: This is the Cadillac of preservatives (and costs about as much!) It has no formaldehyde, parabens, is noncarcinogenic and does not cause reproductive harm. Without a preservative our lotions would need to be refrigerated and would have a short shelf life.
