Cherry Pizza Pie

Cherry Pizza Pie

Ingredients:

Pizza Crust:

Filling:

  • 8 oz. Cream cheese
  • ¼ c. sugar
  • 1 egg

Cherry Topping:

Streusel Topping:

  • ¼ c. flour
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
  • pin. sea salt

Instructions:

  1. For the crust, mix the Edwards Mill Biscuit Mix, ½ c. water, and ¼ c. all-purpose flour in a bowl. When combined, cover and let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  2. For the filling, beat the cream cheese until smooth in a large bowl. Add ¼ c. sugar and egg, blending until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  3. In a separate pot, combine all the ingredients for cherry topping, except the Student-Made fruit spread and vanilla, and cook until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in the Student-Made fruit spread and vanilla.
  4. Place all ingredients for the streusel topping in a small bowl and mix until it forms small pea-sized crumbs.
  5. Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a pizza pan with oil or nonstick cooking spray.
  6. Roll the dough out to fit pizza pan.
  7. Spread a layer of cream cheese mixture onto the pizza dough to reach ½ in. from the edge.
  8. Top with the cherry topping and sprinkle with streusel topping.
  9. Bake 25-35 minutes.
  10. Serve with flavored whipped cream or ice cream.
