Fruit Spread Buttercream Frosting

Servings: 24 servings

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. unsalted butter, softened
  • ¼ c. honey
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 5 c. powdered sugar, sifted
  • 4 oz. of your favorite Student-Made Fruit Spread
  • Milk as needed for thinning the icing

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, honey, vanilla, and salt until smooth and lump-free.
  2. Slowly add the powdered sugar and cream at high speed for 5 minutes.
  3. Reduce the speed to low and add the Student-Made Fruit Spread. If the frosting is too firm, add the milk 1 Tbsp. at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Serve on your favorite cake, cakes, and cookies. This recipe should make enough to frost a 9 x 13in. cake or 24 cakes.
