Thank you for visiting Buckboard Antique Quilts where shoppers experience exceptional quilts, with rich family histories, superb quality, and stunning, vibrant colors.
Since 1976, award-winning author and quilt historian Judy Howard has offered an outstanding collection of exquisite 19th and 20th century quilts, coverlets, and vintage textiles to avid quilt collectors and dealers around the world. Judy’s research often reveals the stories behind each beautiful creation, which is included in the description of the quilts.
In 2020, Judy Howard generously gifted her collection to College of the Ozarks, a small private liberal arts college located in the Ozark Mountains in southern Missouri. Also known as Hard Work U., this institution offers students the chance to work, rather than pay, for their education. Ninety percent of students must demonstrate financial need and 100% of the students work at one of the over 100 work stations on campus. Students do everything from mowing the grass to cooking food in the cafeteria, which offers them the chance to graduate debt-free with a four-year degree.
