Longtime musical collaborators, the pair founded The Creek Rocks in 2015 after years of performing and recording together. Their debut album,\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003ci\u003eWolf Hunter\u003c\/i\u003e, features sixteen traditional Ozark folk songs drawn from the collections of folklorists Max Hunter and John Quincy Wolf.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eKnown for Woolf’s singular voice and Bilyeu’s distinctive guitar work, The Creek Rocks blend traditional Ozark songs with original music inspired by the region. In 2024, they received the Artist in Resonance Fellowship from the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress.
