Animal Pelt Tobacco Quilt

Early 1900 quilt made from Tobacco flannel animal skins from William and Charlotte Brooks OKC estate in The Village made probably by Charlottes mom, Mrs. Albert Dale Taylor, and her mom. Rare and collectible tobacco flannel premiums were given away in tobacco tins with cigars etc. to get them hooked on tobacco and to collect to make quilts out of. A novel marketing-scheme. These 4 1/2-7 blocks were each hand embroidered around and quilted in the ditch with a chocolate brown and black houndstooth flannel back and top border Perfect to decorate your man cave or lodge cabin decor.
